A child is allowed to make mistakes. We expected – because they’re children. They will be disciplined and they will receive the consequences for their actions, but it’s expected of children – because they don’t know any better.
We don’t expect if of adults though. We expect adults to have it all together and be perfect. Just because they are adults doesn’t mean that they have it all together. But they aren’t children so we don’t expect mistakes from adults.
But adults aren’t perfect, yet we and sometimes – they expect to be. I’m not saying that we should have this perspective where we expect mistakes from adults like we do children, that’s not good either. We can change our perspective and realize that adults aren’t perfect and actually allow for it to happen. To not do so would be childish.
