600,000.  That’s the number of pre-orders according to Apple – well, according to every news site according to apple.  The most pre-ordered device ever.

I wrote in one of my leadership lessons – check it here –  that Steve Job’s leads well because he just knows what people wants.  When you are able to create a culture and a mystique around beautifully designed products that people want – even before they can touch them or even before they know they want it – that’s a pretty incredible skill to have.

One way to lead is to lead in and be in front of where people don’t even know they want to be.  The projections is 9 million phones by year’s end.
