The Truth about Multi-tasking

…. is that it is not really all that good.  The research says that most tasks need a singular focus in order to complete the task.  We are living in a world where we walk and conduct meetings at the same time – we drive and text – we surf the web, listen to music, and write our papers.

The truth is that for optimal functioning, the mind should focus on just one thing.  When people multi-task, they actually over task the brain.  They might think that they are multi-taskers, but they are just shallow and distracted thinkers.  Oh, and those that say that they are multi-taskers are the most shallow of all.

“Squirrel.”
