Identity Anchor

It is exactly what you picture.  Each one needs to anchor our identity in something – an idea, an ideal, a person, a place, a position.

A person that doesn’t have their identity anchored in something can easily be swayed and might drift unknowingly as the wind and the waves will.  It highlights a few ideas:

– Someone without an Identity Anchor will be in Identity Drift – unless they are steaming ahead.  But someone drifting cannot help themselves.

– Consequently, if you are able to “move ahead” you don’t need an anchor because you are headed somewhere.

– It almost doesn’t matter what you anchor your identity in.  Just anchor your identity to something.
