You all need Tom Yankoff in your life.  Now, I know Tom, and he would probably like to be in your life as well.  You will definitely love it for sure.

Okay, so maybe there’s not enough Tom Yankoff to go around for all us, but you definitely need a Tom Yankoff kind of guy in your life.  Tom Yankoff is the guy that I go to when I have a question about leadership.  He helps me figure it out.  He gives me the insight that I need.  He can operationalize a vague leadership concept for me better than anyone I know.  Not only has he studied it, but he’s studied under some of the guys that everyone else reads.  He knows the leadership literature.

Beyond the literature though, he’s just flat out a great leader.  He’s gone through things.  He’s run things.  He understands people.  He’s taught it.  He’s learned it.  He easily and quickly will share his lessons with you.

You all need a Tom Yankoff in your life, but don’t try to out do him.  He doesn’t like that so much.

UPDATE: So I sent this post to Tom Yankoff, and I had him check it out before I posted it.  I want to share his response to my post.

“You all need a Tom Yankoff in your life, but don’t try to out do him.  He doesn’t like that so much.”  Just so you know, if you “out did” me, I would celebrate…since you have already “out did” me, I have already celebrated!!!!

You see what I mean.  You all need a Tom Yankoff in your life.  Thanks Tom.
