26.2%

So July 9th, I wrote a post called 28.1%.  It was post about the BMI and how it’s a horrible measure for identity.  We shouldn’t pay attention to someone calling you overweight.  Then I did a follow up post called 26.9%, August 8th.  This one is called 26.2%

The first 20lbs is always easy.  The next 20lbs is not as easy.  Technically – according to the BMI.  I’m still overweight.  I still need to lose 8 lbs in order to get to normal.  We’ll see.  I have liked this series.  It’s not like I’m doing it just so that I can write about it.  I am really trying to become more healthy.  I’m not gonna let the BMI scale get me down, but I can use it as a measure to figure out some goals.  We’ll see.

Still – you can’t let some dumb scale determine your identity.

  1. Agreed. Never allow a scale to determine your identity or dictate how you feel. The goal is truly being healthy … and feeling good!

  2. I hear you. For me it has nothing to do with scale really it has more to do with things I can do as well anymore. I feel as though I can’t jump as high, run as fast, react as quick. I don’t really care what number is on the scale I want to look in the mirror and not see a round belly I want to see abs. lol

  3. The scale is irrelevant when your muscles are toning up! Haha! It takes perseverance and discipline to get the results you want. Eating healthy is key. =)
